In line with the implementation of comprehensive food health in the country and the empowerment and development of technological-scientific cooperation, a meeting with presence of Dr. Alireza Zali, President of the University, Dr. Sharif Kashani, Vice President of International Affairs, Dr. Afshin Zarghi, Vice President of Research and Technology, Dr. Jamshid Salamzadeh, Vice President of Food and Drug, Dr. Vahidi, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Hassan Yazdanpanah, Head of the Health Research Center university food, doctorate in finance, head of food and drug organization and a group of professors and faculty members and faculty members of media university was held.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Sharif Kashani welcomed the guests and introduced the people present in the meeting while expressing his satisfaction with the organization of this meeting. Then, Dr. Zali introduced the educational and research facilities of the university and pointed to the international rankings of the university and the cooperative achievements related to the cooperation with the Wageningen university, which led to great successes in the original stage, the study of food contaminants and original technologies to detect fraud in materials in the country and he named the ongoing project in the framework of this cooperation.
Dr. Zali mentioned Wageningen University in the Netherlands as one of the accredited universities in the field of food science, which has been approved by the FAO as one of the scientific and operational tools of food safety at the global level. This university processes adequate experiences in the fields of food sciences, food industry, and animal sciences. Dr. Zali also expressed his hope, regarding the results and outcomes achieved from previous cooperation, for development of joint collaborations in the next phases.
In the next step, Dr. Mullen thanked and appreciated the invitation of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and also expressed the position of Netherlands in the production of agricultural products and healthy foods in the world.
In the following, while welcoming the guests, Dr. Kaina pointed out the history of cooperation with the Netherlands and the undeniable impact of food on health and prevention of non-communicable diseases and said: Monitoring people's food from the farm to the table and even the cell is one of the priorities of the Food and Drug Organization. Then they mentioned the axes of cooperation with the Netherlands in the 16-year food security program.
Next, Dr. Yazdan Panah introduced the food health research center of the university and the measures taken in the form of a memorandum with Wageningen University and the axes of cooperation and joint projects that are being implemented.
